Introduction
The 6 Days Wildlife and Primate Combination Safari is the perfect way to explore Uganda’s incredible biodiversity. This trip combines classic savannah wildlife viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park with chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest and gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way, you will enjoy game drives, a Kazinga Channel boat cruise, scenic drives, and cultural interactions. It’s an unforgettable journey for primate lovers and wildlife enthusiasts alike.
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Kibale National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or from your hotel in Kampala, you will be met by your driver-guide and briefed about the safari. Begin your journey to Kibale National Park, a 5–6 hour drive through lush countryside, tea plantations, and rolling hills.
Stop for lunch in Fort Portal, then continue to your lodge near the forest. Spend the evening relaxing at your lodge or take an optional nature walk.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early breakfast, head to Kibale Forest headquarters for a chimpanzee tracking briefing. The trek lasts 2–4 hours, and you will spend an unforgettable hour with the chimpanzees. Along the way, look out for other primates like red colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and black-and-white colobus.
Return to the lodge for lunch, then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the evening. Check into your lodge and enjoy the scenic views of the Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 3: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Start the day with an early morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains, where you can spot elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, lions, and possibly leopards. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lakes George and Edward. Expect to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants on the shores, and a variety of water birds.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha
After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector, which is famous for tree-climbing lions (game drive en route). Enjoy the scenic views of the savannah before entering the mountainous terrain of Bwindi.
Arrive at your lodge in the evening and prepare for the gorilla trekking adventure the next day.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
This is the highlight of your safari! After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. You will be assigned a gorilla family and start your trek into the dense forest, which may take 2–6 hours.
Once you find the gorillas, spend one magical hour observing and photographing them. After trekking, return to your lodge and relax.
Optional: Evening cultural visit to the Batwa community for traditional music and dance.

Day 6: Return to Kampala or Entebbe
After breakfast, start your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, with a stop at the Equator Monument for photos and souvenirs. Lunch will be en route, and you will arrive in the evening for your onward flight or hotel drop-off.
