Safari & CultureThis short but action-packed itinerary combines wildlife, primates, and scenic lakes for a compact yet unforgettable Ugandan adventure.
Day 1: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Cruise
Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park from Kampala or Entebbe.
Start with an afternoon game drive in the Kasenyi plains, spotting lions, elephants, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, and other wildlife.
Enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a hotspot for hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.
Overnight stay at a lodge within the park.
Day 2: Ishasha Tree-Climbing Lions & Transfer to Bwindi
Early morning, drive to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP to see the famous tree-climbing lions.
Continue the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorillas.
Evening: settle into your lodge and relax after the drive.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
After a briefing at the park headquarters, spend the day trekking gorillas in the dense Bwindi forest.
The trek can take between 2–7 hours depending on the location of the gorillas.
Once located, spend 1 hour observing these magnificent animals in their natural habitat.
Optional: visit the Batwa community to learn about their traditions.
Overnight in Bwindi.
Day 4: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, drive to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s most picturesque lakes with 29 islands.
Enjoy canoeing, swimming (bilharzia-free), or relaxing at the lodge.
Optional: hike around the lake or visit local villages for cultural experiences.
Overnight at a lodge by the lake.
Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi – Return to Kampala/Entebbe
Morning at leisure to enjoy the lake, birdwatching, or a short boat ride.
Drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, stopping at the Equator line for photos.
Transfer to your hotel or directly to Entebbe International Airport for departure.
