10 Days Best of Uganda Culture and Wildlife Safari

This immersive 10-day safari combines Uganda’s breathtaking wildlife with authentic cultural experiences. Explore national parks teeming with wildlife, track rhinos and chimpanzees, enjoy boat safaris, and engage with local communities across the Pearl of Africa.


Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Cultural Welcome

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport where your guide will receive you. Depending on your arrival time, visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre or enjoy a sunset walk along Lake Victoria. Overnight in Entebbe.


Day 2: Entebbe – Drive to Jinja (Source of the Nile)

Travel east to Jinja, the historic source of the River Nile. Stop en route at Ssezibwa Falls, a cultural heritage site linked to Buganda traditions. In Jinja, take a boat ride to the Nile’s source and enjoy optional activities like quad biking or village walks.


Day 3: Jinja – Kampala – Ndere Cultural Centre

Return to Kampala and explore Uganda’s capital. Visit the Kasubi Royal Tombs (UNESCO Site), Buganda Kingdom Palace, and bustling craft markets. In the evening, enjoy a cultural performance at Ndere Cultural Centre, showcasing dances and music from across Uganda.


Day 4: Kampala – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls NP

Depart early and head north to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for guided rhino tracking. Continue to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in time for an evening game drive or sunset views. Overnight in a lodge within or near the park.


Day 5: Murchison Falls – Game Drive & Boat Safari

Begin with a morning game drive on the northern bank, where you may spot giraffes, elephants, buffalo, and lions. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari to the base of the thundering Murchison Falls. Optionally hike to the top for panoramic views.


Day 6: Murchison – Hoima Cultural Experience

Exit the park and head to Hoima, the capital of Bunyoro Kingdom. Visit Mparo Royal Tombs, a historic cultural site, and engage with local communities to learn about the Banyoro people’s traditions and crafts. Overnight in Hoima.


Day 7: Hoima – Kibale Forest National Park

Drive through scenic countryside to Kibale National Park, known for its rich primate population. En route, pass beautiful tea plantations and rural homesteads. Arrive and relax at your lodge near the park.


Day 8: Chimpanzee Tracking & Cultural Walk

Join a chimpanzee tracking excursion in Kibale Forest in the morning. In the afternoon, explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run ecotourism project where you’ll spot birds, monkeys, and meet local villagers. Learn about their traditions and medicinal plants.


Day 9: Kibale – Fort Portal – Return to Kampala

Visit Fort Portal, a culturally vibrant town, and stop at the Tooro Palace for a panoramic view and insight into the Tooro Kingdom. Later, return to Kampala, arriving in the evening. Optionally explore city nightlife or local cuisine.


Day 10: Kampala – Departure

Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a short city tour, visit local craft markets, or relax before your transfer to Entebbe Airport for your departure flight.
